If you have a fever (higher that 100° F), pain in the lower abdomen, back, or either shoulder, or foul-smelling discharge. You should see a doctor for these symptoms.
Ask a doctor before use if you have:
Vaginal itching and discomfort for the first time.
Symptoms that return within 2 months. You could be pregnant, or have a serious underlying medical cause for your symptoms, including diabetes or a weakened immune system (which may be due to HIV the virus that causes AIDS).
When using this product:
Do not use tampons, douches, spermicides, or other vaginal products.
Do not use condoms, or diaphragms, as this product may damage them and they may not prevent sexually transmitted disease or pregnancy.
Do not have vaginal intercourse.
Wait 3 days after treatment to resume using condoms or a diaphragm.
Stop use and ask a doctor if:
Symptoms do not get better after 3 days.
Symptoms last more than 7 days. you may have a condition other than a yeast infection.
You get a rash, fever, abdominal pain, or a foul smelling vaginal discharge.
If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.

This product is awful. After 4 days I still had symptoms. Vagistat didn't help the external itching and irritation at all. I had to use another yeast infection treatment on top of it because it was useless. Monistat is awesome, and their anti-itch cream is better than Vagisil. The next day I felt 90% better.

Vagistat-1 is a totally different product from Monostat. Yes, they both cure vaginal infections, but notice the ingredients are not the same. For women like me who are sensitive to the ingredients in Monostat, Vagistat-1 is great!! Monostat can cause burning issues that are much worse than the infection itself. So, check with your doctor before using these products for the first time.

This product relieved my yeast infection quickly and at a price less than other brands. I know that every person's body responds to medications differently, but this works for me just fine and I have used it several times. I was surprised to see the negative reviews, a couple that really had nothing to do with the product itself. I would recommend this product to others.

I've had yeast infections before, so I've used these products. Unknown to me, the blue cap of the applicator popped off inside me when I pushed in the syringe. Thankfully, I had a gynecologist appointment and he found it inside of me, but BE CAREFUL - check the applicator before and after you use it to make sure this doesn't happen to you! he said that if this cap had been in there for 1 or 2 months, there would have been severe consequences

I get recurrent yeast infections, about 3 a year, and I usually put off treating them 'cause it's such a nuisance to do. My doctor is a male, and it's uncomfortable going to him for prescription meds, so I've been doing the OTC thing for a couple years now. I tried Monistat (miconazole) three times, the ovule type and once the cream insertion. The itching and burning right after insertion was HORRIFIC, especially with the ovules. I would be up all night with the unbearable itching and messy discharge. I tried Vagistat (tioconazole) this time b/c I heard it's more effective than miconazole, and I am, so far, thrilled with the results. I had only barely noticeable itching after insertion, and the discharge didn't seem as bad. I used it last night, and today I'm feeling better already. We'll see how well it does in the long term, but I'm so relieved and thrilled that this didn't cause the miserable itching and burning I used to get from Monistat!

This product is AWFUL. I discovered that the "1" in Vagistat-1 represents the number of doses, not the number of days for the treatment to be effective, like Monastat-1. My symptoms felt about 5 times WORSE after taking this product. I'm going on my third day with no relief in sight. I'm in misery.

Before using, read the enclosed brochure and instructions on foil packet
Adults and children 12 years and over: open the foil packet just before use and remove blue cap. Insert entire contents of applicator into the vagina, preferably at bedtime.
Children under 12: ask a doctor.
This product is a 1-dose treatment; most women do not experience complete relief of their symptoms in just one day. Most women experience some improvement within 1 day and complete relief of symptoms within 7 days.
