I have been using this product for over 2 years. It provides me a close, comfortable shave with no razor burn. I have used gels and foams which did not work as well. The moisturizers in the soap work for me. I still use an aftershave lotion to protect my skin. Make sure to wet stubble well preferably with hot water, lather soap well and use a good wet shaver like the Panasonic. The shave I get is close to what I used to get from my barber who used a straight edge razor. I just miss the hot towel which relaxed my face. Of course, your experience may differ.

I am a first time purchaser, and the service and delivery were excellent. Hopefully, this retailer will be a little more competitive on price for my future potential purchases.

I realize this product is mostly for men, but I used it for my legs and I love the way they feel afterward. The smell is very neutral and clean and I feel good saving all the packaging of traditional shaving gel from landfills.

My first attempt with this soap was with a fairly new Boars Hair Brush and it was very difficult to get a good lather. I waited and held judgement until I tried a Badger Brush- which gave an excellant lather. There is reall no scent to this soap though- and I feel a nice scent is part of the pleasure of wet shaving- so I would actually give this soap 4.5 stars. It did leave my face feeling smooth and moist so I will continue to use it in my rotation. I do however prefer Col. Conks Bay Rum with glycerine soap- even though this site does not offer it.

great stuff. glycerin soap in my shaving soap dish gets nice and foamy with my badger brush and makes for an easy shave done old style. i personally like the lack of any significant scent in my shave soap and this does the trick. it'll last for ages and is very affordable.

I use this and the "delux" soap and both are very good. They have a nice clean scent. No nicks or cuts. I'd certainly purchase these products again.

This is a very good, inexpensive shave soap that is perfect for the wetshaving newbie. It builds slick lather effortlessly with a good brush and is loaded with glycerin to help keep the face moisturized throughout the shave. With a subtle, unoffensive scent, this is an excellent choice for those with sensitive skin. Since it is a glycerin soap, it can be melted to fit a shaving mug or bowl.

My only real complaint would be the lack of cushion from the lather. It is firmly in the low-end soap category in this regard, as better soaps and creams provide more cushion from the blade. This can be remedied by adding some good shaving cream to the soap-filled brush, effectively building a "superlather" which combines the slickness of a soap and the cushion of a cream. Kiss My Face make excellent shave creams for this purpose.

In all, this is a cheap soap that performs surprisingly well. There are much better soaps out there, but not at this price.
