The razor stand/holder works ok, but it isn't particularly attractive. The mug works just fine and looks nice. The brush? The brush is absolute junk. It smells horrible and sheds bristles like a sheepdog. Maybe worth buying if they mark it down to $3.99.

This set is functional. The mug is very nice and the brush/razor stand, while nothing special,does the job. The brush in this set I havnt used yet as my boar brush works very well and I feel no need to break in a new one at this time. My only complaint is the scent of the soap. It lathers quickly and I get a good shave with it but im afraid im spoiled by the scent of the Van Der Hagen deluxe. All in all a good set for the money but pick up some Van Der Hagen deluxe soap along with it and you will see what I mean.

Great for home use but the mug is too bulky to travel with. Brush works well and creates great lather but bristles fall out at a rate of 15 to 20 every time I use it. It may still last three or four years at that rate.

This is a great deal and will become the gift I buy for people looking into shaving with a straight razor or people that want more out of being a man than foam and disposable razors.

The soap is really good and makes nice lather. The shaving brush is 100% badger but a tad too soft for my taste.

monogram was scratched off by the time it got to me, but it was shipped to Afghanistan so I assume it was thrown around a bit durring its travel. I really like the cup and brush.

This is a great shaving kit for the money. You can't go wrong with it but I would not consider this a "luxury" set. The TwinLuxe shaving sets are luxury shave kits...higher priced and more exclusive through the use of better materials. Either way, the Van Der Haagen set is just an OK set but nothing that blows me away.
