This was my first brush when I started wet shaving years ago. I used it daily, but it never allowed me to build up a good shave lather. The lathers were OK, but not great. After a few months of using this brush, I got a $40 Vulfix badger brush and quickly noticed a significant difference in my lather builds from the badger.

If you want a good brush that can build you a good lather, then I'd recommend getting a badger brush.

I alternate this brush with the VDH badger so shave with the boar brush every other day. I found this brush to be as good for building a lather as the badger. As for bristle loss ive lost more hair from the badger. The brush being reviewed (boar) lost a few the first week or so but after break in no longer loses them. I cant say this brush is as good as a $50 brush as ive never owned a $50 brush and do not intend to. But I can say this brush is well worth the price.

It is probably a great product if you use it with the classic shaving cake+ bowl. Unfortunately, I use Weleda shaving cream and it is not suitable for that- I need 3 times as much of this expensive cream than I used before. The brush is essentially too big for that, the same problem i encountered with most brushes on the market. My previous two brushes I hand picked in a store in Germany.
Considered the price, this brush is a good deal for anyone looking for a decent brush using shaving cake

I bought it to go with a matching shaving set I bought my boyfriend for christmas but... the handle turned out to be white and didn't match the set at all!!!!

These are great brushes to use for shaving. I have fair skin that appreciates the help for a close shave. Regular foams can't compare to using Col. Conk soap and these brushes.

This brush has a full complement of soft bristles but they hold almost too much water. The brush needs to be shaken once to get rid of the excess water before mixing the lather; otherwise the lather is too watery.

I didn't have any trouble with the brush hairs coming out like some other posters have mentioned. Maybe the manufacturer switched adhesives or something. I HAVE had the loose bristle problem with other shave brushes, however. So, the problem is not unique to any certain brand.

I think this brush is as good as any I have use and I have used many brushes including expensive shave brushes. I like the natural bristles. The stiffness of the bristles is just right for me; not to soft, not too hard. It creates a nice lather.

Also, these bristles do not have any funny odor. I have had other brushes that stink and the stink never went away. This brush does not really have any smell.

I like the nice forest green color handle. The plastic is better than the natural wood handled brushes I have had that split and broke and better than the steel handles that were heavy.

I am glad to have an affordable, good quality brush like this. Others on the market are either very expensive OR terrible quality. This is a good value product.
