My dermatologist recommended Vanicream Lite for my face, since I was having a problem with blackheads, even at age 64! It worked, but I wasn't totally satisfied with its moisturizing properties, so when I found Vanicream Moisturing Skin Cream on drugstore.com, I gave it a try. And I'm glad I did. Since I still have the Vanicream Lite, I have only used the regular Vanicream at night, or if I am staying home without makeup. ( I use the Vanicream Lite under makeup.)

It may feel heavy as it goes on, but it is absorbed quickly and doesn't have a greasy look.

None of the Vanicream products have annoying scents, thank goodness! And though I have rosacea, I haven't found any of them to be irritating.

I am now trying other Vanicream products and am so pleased with all of them. They may be a little pricey, but certainly not as expensive as department store brands. And I like the fact that my dermatologist recommended them.

I have extremely... and I mean EXTREMELY... sensitive skin. I spend $50 on creams/lotions per month. I had heard fantastic things about Vanicream (many called it the 'more natural' and far better version of Cetaphil and Cerave, which are the only two I can use)... but I'm not as thrilled about it as I thought I'd be. It doesn't absorb very well and the worst part is that it's quite sticky! I can still feel it sticking to the surface of my skin long after I rub it on. It gets on the surface of my desk from my arms and sticks, and gets white marks on certain dark fabrics. I don't have much arm hair, but it feels like it just sticks every hair down and I have to smooth it out the right way! It's just heavy and sticky. It moisturizes well, and I'm not having any allergic reaction to it (which is always a plus...) - but the stickiness is a real turn-off. Cetaphil is refreshing and smooth, while Cerave is very light and silky - and both moisturize fantastically - so I won't be using the pricier Vanicream again.

Comments about Vanicream Moisturizing Skin Cream, 4 oz:

I received the tube with a blue cap, but as the image provided here the cap is white. I am wondering whether they are authentic and from the same brand.

Comments about Vanicream Moisturizing Skin Cream, 4 oz:

My children have severely dry skin and eczema. We've tried nearly every moisturizer on the market-- from bargains to expensive brands. So far, I've been pleasantly surprised by the Vanicream cream. It doesn't burn my kids' skin *as much* as other moisturizers (Cetaphil, Eucerin, etc.). And that's a big deal for us.

i have spent thousands of dollars on cream for my extremely dry/sensative skin & have used cream that is only available by prescription & cost 100.00 for 2 small tubes & this cream is just as good & cost a whole lot less.

Comments about Vanicream Moisturizing Skin Cream, 4 oz:

          I love vanicream.
It's super gentle on my skin. Though the lotion feels greasy at first, my skin absorb it fast leaving moisture.
I have combination skin, and it has been hard to find something that can moisturize and not break out my skin. This cream works for me.
I have to say the smell is not that attractive, but I dont mind.

Comments about Vanicream Moisturizing Skin Cream, 4 oz:

I have very sensitive skin and I have tried everything from neutrogena to eucerin sensitive skin and redness reducer. Vanicream is the best product out there for dry sensitive skin. It goes on easily and has no odor. It is thick so if you want something lighter try the light lotion, I use both. Cream at night light lotion during the day and it works, no more dry skin...stopping to add lotion in the middle of the day because my face is peeling. I recommend this to everyone.

I have really dry sensitive skin and am always struggling to find something that makes my skin happy. Vanicream does a nice job. Goes on like a lotion and keeps my face soft. Has a slight unusual scent but not too noticeable. I put it on after I wash my face at nice and it immediately soothes any dryness.
