I have to use shave cream for ultra sensitive skin. I bought this when, for a few months, i could not find Aveeno shave gel anywhere. The consistency is like a thick lotion so i was pessimistic, but the Vanicream product lubricated my legs and protected against nicks & cuts better than Aveeno or any shave cream i have ever used. I agree with the other reviewer that noted that this product stays where you put it and doesn't run off your leg, which i like as well. Because it feels like a lotion, i was tempted to use a large amount, but since it's expensive, i used just enough to cover my legs with a thin film, and it protected my skin very well. I won't go back to Aveeno. This product doesn't smell pretty but that's a good thing for me, due to skin sensitivity. I use numerous Vanicream products and am very pleased with all of them.

I use this cream to shave my legs and it's the only shaving cream I've found that doesn't leave my skin irritated. There's no fragrance added, which can be a con as well as a pro - it's not the most pleasant odor. But it's worth it!

My dermatologist recommended it to me, and she advised me to use a single or double blade razor, which has really helped. I had always assumed more blades meant a closer and less-irritated shave, but the opposite is true.

Even though it's pricey, it's worth every dime!

This is the first "For Sensitive Skin" shave cream that truly didn't irritate my skin. I never had any luck with other brands such as Aveeno or Kiss My Face. The cream is thick and does tend to gum up the razor quickly, but it is simple enough to rinse the blade a few extra times under the shower while shaving. The product stays right where you put it and doesn't slide down your leg, also a plus. It isn't super moisturizing, but I don't really mind that. I'd prefer a pump instead of a tube for ease of re-application, but they don't offer one. All in all a good buy for the money that does what it said it would.

Used this product because of skin allergies. I would not recommend it to any man. It only applies a thin layer of cream on your face, causing a very rough shave. I even cut myself a few times. It requires you to constantly clean your razor with hot water, and leads to quicker wear of your wazor. They have several good products but this is not one of them.
