I was tempted to buy the Banana Boat aloe vera lotion, but seeing the cost I decided to go with the Vaseline cocoa butter. When I put it on my burnt skin, by the next day the burn was almost faded to a tan and it was soft and no longer painful. It has also helped extend my tan by leaving my skin flake free. It has a nice smell when I first apply it, not overpowering. And it has faded my stretch marks and evened out my skin tone. No greasy feeling, absorbs quickly. I would definitely recommend this, why spend more on lotions like Palmers and Banana Boat when Vaseline is just as good. I am so glad so many other people love this lotion, because it is amazing. It has a nice warm cocoa/vanilla smell that lingers faintly. It is VERY think and rich, which means it will last forever, because you don't need to use too much. Given that, even though it is very creamy, it absorbs really well into the skin. I don't dare carry it on the plane. It is the best lotion I have found thus far. For those who don't like the smell, try a different fragrant than cocoa butter because that is what it smells like. It doesn't smell bad to me, but different strokes for different folks. I put some on my mom's back and massaged it in after she was bathed.
