I recently purchased for overnight use - to massage into my hands and leave cotton gloves on to maximize softness. It is a very think moisturizer when used in this way and I haven't yet perfected my nightly ritual of application, but it is affordable and I believe it will ultimately leave you with the desired results. Comments about Vaseline Petroleum Jelly, 13 oz: ive read stuff on the internet that it was supposed to help with the red irritation/acne bumps on your bum. i put it on every night. its messy, does not wash off your hands and in my opinion, is not worth the fuss b/c it does not help much with my problem. as for protecting babies bums from diaper rash, well if it didn't work for me why smear your baby with it? thats gross. ill continue to use it until i can find something that works. I had really bad ugly acne and I've tried almost every product out there which just made it worse. But Vaseline was just right for my sensitive skin, it diminished the redness overnight and reduced the bumps in a few days. Comments about Vaseline Petroleum Jelly, 13 oz: If you get dry wrinkly hands after a days work as I do, theres nothing like good ol vaseline worked into your hands before bed with soft cotton gloves over them while you sleep. Wake up to soft and firmer skin in the morning when you take the cotton gloves off! Same goes for dry itchy feet with soft socks over them while sleeping. If legs get dry and itchy put a little vaseline on them after showers. Great stuff this vaseline! Pros

I also use Vaseline for the insertions of thermometers and enemas when the need arises. This product is an old time lubrication which surpasses all other types of llubricants. This is an all around household product. Every home should have a jar of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. It's the best.
