I've used Vaska for around 3 years. I do believe it helps prolong the life and color of clothes but for environmental reasons will be shifting to powdered 7th generation with my next order. The plastic in this bottle is recyclable but I wish Vaska would come out with refills in a biodegradeable container so that you didn't have to toss the bottle so often.

I have sensitive skin and thought I could use the lavender Vaska but have found I can't. Have had some burning. Can use it with towels but not some of my clothes.

I bought this with low expectations as "natural" products, while sounding great in theory, never seem to do as good a job as the synthetic, man-made chemical stuff. The Queen of Clean highly recommended this product, saying it had beat out T**e (orange bottle) in a cleaning competition. I truly thought this had to be bogus but my curiosity got the best of me and I bought a bottle. What do you know, it actually worked, and yes, even better than the top name brands! It got the armpit smell out of my husbands t-shirts which is a miracle -- and no adding any color-safe bleach, oxy clean, nothing! Usually even when I add all of that I still have to run his t's through an extra wash in my HE machine! I am hooked. Now, if Vaska were only a bit cheaper I'd use it every load, but right now in this economy I just don't know if I can afford to....

This is the best Natural detergent I have found...and trust me I have tried many!!

There are stains that this stuff gets out that Not even the big orange bottle could.

It's on the expensive side so I stock up when it is on sale.

I just washed my first machine in a commercial washer at a laundromat. I followed the instructions exactly as indicated, and my clothes came out dirty! I will have to wash them all again. Very disappointed. I will try if doubling the amount of detergent does the trick, if not, I won't buy again. The scent is nice. Hope it lasts.

I use Lavender Herbatergent for sheets, towels, outer clothing. Since I have very sensitive skin, I don't use it for clothing that touches too much of my skin. I love the scent, so clean and fresh, and I really like how it cleans. I use it in my HE front-loader, and like the lack of foaming bubbles. It seems really different: good for the environment and good on my touchy-skin. No residue.

I LOVE this detergent! I have been searching forever for a natural lavender detergent I like. I finally found it.

I use Mrs. Meyers and like it but this works much better for me. Leaves everything SO soft without added fabric softener.

I wish the scent lasted after the clothes are dry (the dryer seems to remove most of it) but I may try the Herbasoft and hope it helps with fragrance retention.

I've done several loads including my kids dirty clothes and everything came out clean, soft and smelling so fresh.

This is not available in Canada now so I can only order through Drugstore.com. I will stock up on my next order for sure :)

I was looking for a lavender scented laundry detergent. I had used Good Home in the past but it is too expensive [$] so I wanted something more economical that I could use on a regular basis. This fit the bill and I am pleased that it is eco-friendly. Unlike traditional laundry detergent it has a more watery consistency and doesn't have the same amount of suds but that does not detract from its cleaning powder. Lack of suds does not make this detergent any less effective. (If you have ever made your own laundry detergent, you will know this.) It does a great cleaning job and I believe it is less stressful on fabrics. It has a very pleasant scent.
