This thermometer is accurate and takes a couple of seconds to receive an instant reading. I will never go back to the old style thermometer again. Just point a couple of inches from the forehead and click and you have an instant reading. It has a backlit display for using it at night and you won't have to wake your child to take their temperature. It can also be used to take surface, liquid and room temperatures. A very useful product.
