With hard, chemically treated water and the heat made a bad combination for my body and skin. I use it all over everyday, twice a day and it got reed of the body odor. Especially in my private areas. I had to get use to the amount of soap used because I would travel from place to place and the water quality differed, however it never failed me on making me feel fresh everytime I used it. The oatmeal smell is wonderful. Now I can't stand any soap that has a lot of perfume or is heavy to my skin. I have tried others and always go back to this product. But after using daily for 5-6 months I began getting more frequent infections and significant irritation. I looked up each ingredient individually online and Wikipedia's explanation of Nonoxynol-9 explained that frequent use may cause vaginal abrasions (look it up for yourself!!). My doctor said I had "chemical abrasions" from the wash. She did say that less frequent use might have been okay (like once or twice per week). I gave it 2 stars because it was an effective wash on the short term but I will never use it again after the long term daily use side effects!!!! Comments about Very Private pH Balanced Body Wash, 6 fl oz: I have been plagued by frequent intercourse-related UTI's and have tried every suggestion I've come across to try and prevent them, to no avail. I've been on tons of antibiotics, gone to a urologist, eaten cranberry pills by the handful, and nothing has stopped them. When I read online that this wash was recommended by gynecologists and that several women have succesfully avoided urinary tract infections by using it, I decided to give it a shot. I now use it before and after sexual activity (I don't use it any other times, since some of the reviews on this site suggest that it can be irritating or ineffective after months of regular, daily use), and so far I have not had another infection. It not only cleanses well, it is also soothing and helps to relieve dryness and irritation. It's little bit expensive but lasts for a while, since you don't need to use a lot of the product for your daily needs. Rinses off well and does not leave any film residue. Pros

Comments about Very Private pH Balanced Body Wash, 6 fl oz: because it's ph balanced this is great for gals that are more prone to irritations, itching, yeast infections, etc. it has a nice, natural & light vanilla scent, foams well and doesn't leave things dry down-under. turned my mom onto it, who is post-menopausal, and she loves that it helps w/ dry-related itching. body soaps I've used caused itching & dryness, especially ones w/ fragrance this is formulated NOT to ... and it really works! Have been using for 5+ yrs. now and wouldn't give it up for anything. Wish it was a larger quantity and in a pump bottle for easy-use in the shower though. Pros

Cleans great for sensitive skins. The bottle is easy to use and works well. Not much smell to it so that is nice. Never any irritation. Wonderful product in every way!!! Pros

Comments about Very Private pH Balanced Body Wash, 6 fl oz: It is lightweight and cleanses very well. It does not lather which takes some getting used to. It is totally non-irritating which is what I was looking for. Although it is pricey, a little goes a long way.
