In the morning, I wet a cotton ball with this product and use it to clean my face. After gardening in this summer heat, I apply it to my hot, red face to cool it down. It doesn't take much so I think the 6.76 fl. oz. will last me a while. I have dry, sensitive and rosacea-prone skin and and I've never had a negative reaction to it. I like that it keeps my skin from feeling dry and tight. My face feels clean and smooth. This product is a keeper for me!
Though I use another Vichy product as a toner, I use this for a quick morning clean and to remove make-up. Wouldn't be without it. Removed my granddaughter's Nutcracker Mouse make-up quickly with no fussing. That's the kind of clean you get--and it's so gentle as well.
I'm not sure the correct product was sent to me. No where on the packaging does it say "calming cleansing solution". I bought this product to replace the discontinued Bonne Bell 10.0.6 for sensitive skin. My face does not feel as clean after using. Although, it makes sense because the Bonne Bell contains diluted alcohol, and this product is alcohol free.
I was thrilled to discover that Drugstore.com is now carrying the Vichy line of products! I use this "cleanser" primarily as a makeup remover prior to my normal cleansing routine. I have acne-prone skin, so it is extremely important to me to completely and gently remove all traces of makeup. The consistency of this product is like water (very liquidy) - so you have to use a cotton pad. It gently removes everything - long-wearing makeup, waterproof mascara and eyeliner, etc. Even long-wearing lipstick. It is excellent! And no oily residue!!! I choose to follow up with my normal cleansing routine - but I really think you could skip this if you wanted/needed to. Highly recommend this product!!!
I use this most nights before bed because I'm normally too tired to properly wash my face. It works well to remove makeup from eyes and face, and doesn't sting or burn. I used to have severe acne problems and now use a combination benzoyl peroxide 5% + 1% clindamycin. I apply it topically after cleaning my face with this and have never had a bad reaction. It's soothing and has a light, pleasing fragrance. It feels very luxurious and is great for travel since you don't need water to wash your face. I highly recommend this product.
