This is a great humidifier for use in either large or medium rooms. I have forced hot air in my apartment which dries out the air tremendously. I use this is in the living room and it definitely provides plenty of humidity (the room is about 500 sq. ft.). The water capacity is great and being able to refill the tanks while the machine is running (1 at a time) is a plus. Cleaning isn't bad at all, but I have pretty clean water. The mineral absorption pad seems to keep the heating element clean for quite a while. This humidifier is pretty quiet too. You can hear the water boiling a little, but its not very loud.

Everything about this humidifier is a plus except the amount of vapor output. I live in Iowa and the furnace runs a lot, making the air inside very dry. My bedroom is about 12' x 20' and the humidity never got above 33% using this humidifier for the past month. It would probably do ok if it was used in one small room or a mild climate, but I won't recommend buying this one, as there are others that cost less and do a better job.

I like the idea that this is germ-free/mold-free. It works well as far as adding humidity to a room and it does it gently without a huge plume of steam that ruins our wood furniture and floors. It comes out in a mist. But it is so noisy -- a real roiling boil like a bubbling volcanic hot spring -- that we cannot have this on at night while we are sleeping. Even my husband who sleeps like the dead can't sleep with this loud machine. Even earplugs don't help. Plus the blue light is so strong, it puts a big beam of bright blue light across the room and keeps us awake too. So I turn it on when I get home from work and close the bedroom door so it gets humid in the bedroom. Then when we go to bed I turn it off. It's not ideal, but it helps.

I love this product b/c i feel like im getting a good nights rest breathing Vapor Menthol air. The only con that i have with this module is that it runs out of water really fast and when you refill it you have to turn the attachment upside down and water gets everywhere.

This vaporizer is so easy to fill and get running! Plus, it goes all night long without running out of water. It is getting us through this winter while I recover from bronchitis and is helping my husband's asthma symptoms. My only caveat is to pay attention to the dimensions--it was larger than I pictured when ordering.

I purchased this humidifier about 3 months ago and I'm "pickey." I normally do not fill out reviews such as this, but I felt this product was worthey of my time.This is a quality products from Vicks but does have trade offs. It does have a bright nite light and being a warm air humidifier; it is not silent. You can hear water boiling when controls are set on the "high" settings. If you live in a colder region, this product can reduce your heating costs. It has mine. The humidity levels in my 1400 sq ft home home raised from 32% to 45% in less than a week by running this 24/7 on the high setting. You will need to clean this often if you have hard water though. In my opinion, the Pro's heavily outweigh the Con's!

It gives off good steam (adjustable). I like that it boils the water & runs it thru an ultraviolet light to remove 99% of germs! Also, the 2 large tanks makes it easy to refill and lasts about 2 nights running all night. The product is a bit loud, but we think of it as "white noise" that drowns out the noisy city at night. Also, the light, when it's turned on, is very bright. So we just point it towards the master bath and use it as a night light. It is a very large product, so you have to make sure there is enough room on the dresser or night stand for it to fit.

I have used this most clean Humidifier every Winter, and I clean it weekly, with clear Distilled vinegar; I also like that this model has both a UV-C bulb to disinfect H2O, and it ALSO boils the tap water; It runs for at least 36 hrs on one fill! Keep away from children, but great for them if safely placed! Also good for all family members, and keep in a safe place, as H2O does get hot, but it shuts off automatically, when empty, etc.! GREAT item, and I love it as do we all!

I am using this product in my babies room. It is only a 10x12 room and this does well in it. This is not like the older steam units that you could burn your hands on. The water vapor is boiling but not to hot at the exit point, in fact you can leave your hand above the vent and not burn it.

Has helped sinus issues/adds moisture to a large bedroom and although it is noisy it actually covers other noises and is no different than appliances that are sold to help you sleep - I like it much better than the cool mist humidifiers because whatever it is next too is not WET - the steam seems to go into the air instead of the water droplets falling onto the dresser or the carpet - I would not use the cool water humidifiers again because of that and it seems to be bacteria free because of the ultraviolet light - you can cover up the light on the front of the unit with tape if it is too bright - the pros out weigh the cons

On a low to medium setting, this is a very quiet humidifier - seriously, how much noise can steam make? But on a medium to high setting, the bubbling of the boiling water can become quite distracting if you're trying to sleep. And we ended up having to cover up the BRIGHT BLUE LED light on the front of it so that it didn't keep us awake at night. It humidifies effectively - even in our medium-sized living room WITH the fire going. But it's probably not the best humidifier for a bedroom or sleeping area if you're effected by glowing lights or intermittent sound.
