cough associated with excessive phlegm (mucus)
persistent or chronic cough such as those caused by asthma, emphysema, or smoking
a severe sore throat accompanied by difficulty breathing or that lasts more than 2 days
a sore throat accompanied or followed by fever, headache, rash, swelling, nausea or vomiting
Stop use and ask a doctor if
you need to use more than 7 days

I felt a really bad sore throat coming on last night, and mom bought me a pack of these next morning. I had a bad sore throat, so I did as the directions on the box said and took 1 drop ever 2 hours.
From the first one I took, I could tell that it was really helping to get rid of that nasty sore throat, and btw I use my tongue to rub the drop on the back of my mouth, since just throwing it around in your mouth wouldn't do you as good (IMO).
Very potent, you can REALLY, REALLY feel it working, has a nice cherry taste, and I'm definitely keeping a pack of these handy even if I don't have a sore throat, since I know I'll need some when I feel one coming on. HIGHLY recommended!
Of all the cough drops I've tried, these are the only ones that quickly stop that "tickle" in the throat that forecasts an approaching coughing fit. Really useful when you're at a movie or concert and you know the coughing will disturb people.
Haven't been able to find these cough drops in stores in a few years. I grew up using this product and have always loved it's soothing qualities. Helps relieve a minor sore throat or dry cough. There's just something about Vicks products that make you feel good taking it.
