I first bought this product for my trip to Egypt and now I won't live without one. A great clean place to store your toothbrush without worry. I wore the first one out so had to buy a second after 5 years. It was great to see the price actually went down and the quality has been maintained!

I have used my VIOlight at least twice a day for the past 4 or 5 years (home & travel). It's easy to clean. I occasionally did so by using a slightly damp paper towel to wipe it out. The only other maintenance is changing out the 2 AA batteries every several months. One reviewer stated that the insides discolored. I have not experienced any discoloration. In fact, as I'm looking over it now, I see that it has very little wear. The reason, I'm writing this review is because my unit just died and I want to buy another one (and one for my wife). I'm surprised it lasted this long, 'cause I'm not easy on things. I travel a lot and usually carried it in my knapsack.

I have used my own Violight for several years with no problems. Since it is such a handy and sanitary way to transport a toothbrush, I have given this as a gift to family members. One of them had problems with it, but it was satisfactorily replaced; otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars. I think it was just a fluke.

Use it daily and love the size and ease in traveling also. Always feel safe leaving it out in hotels as keeps brush clean from products the maids might be using.

This thing works, ok. I guess!! How can you tell??? Anyways, I threw mine away after two months. I now just put my toothbrush in the dishwasher once a week on sanitizer mode along with dishes (you can more often if need be). It doesn't hurt it. Yes, it will make the bristles softer. But for me that's not an issue. I like soft toothbrushes soft because my gums are receeding like crazy. This is much cheaper. And I think it works better.

My husband bought me the travel Violight because I am 100% travel for my job and I am a clean freak on my toothbrush. I have the countertop violight and LOVE it. I have had it for 3+ years and had no issues. However, my first travel violight the light stopped working after a couple of weeks of use. My husband is an engineer so he took the piece apart and found the issue and fixed it. Then it stopped working again. I purchased a second one and it lasted about 2 months and is not working. I think the travel light may have some quality issues that the countertop version does not have. I have waited a couple of years and am going to try the travel version again in the hopes they have ironed out the kinks from a few years ago. It is a great concept, but may have quality issues.

These things are junk!
I have bought 4 of these from 3 different sources and not a single one of them worked over 2 weeks!
Don't wate your money! Their quality control sucks!

Just great. I travel often, and go to the gym during my workday. The Violight is perfect...goes with me wherever I am and stores my toothbrush so it's always clean. The hotel sinks and the bathroom at the gym used to freak me out...plus my toothbrush was always wet and a little smelly in my old toothbrush case. Now I don't have to think about it. This Violight cleans it every time i ut my toothbrush away.

Absolutely worthless. First one I received did not work at all. Returned for another. This worked for two weeks. I am able to send it back, but I am not bothering because I have spent so much on return postage it is ridiculous.

The tray turns black and ugly. After a week or two the entire thing is dingy looking. Avon sells a better version of this that looks better, doesn't change finishes, and stays looking new for ten dollars less.
