It will dry clear if you don't apply too much. I noticed the skin around the age spot was getting blistered but kept applying. After a week and a half I had what amounted to a chemical burn sore spot. I stopped using it for a week to let it heal and put vitamin E on it daily. After it healed the brown spot is mostly gone. I'm not sure if this is the recommed procedure for using it but it woked for me. If you could just limit the cream to the brown spot itself would be best but it is hard to just apply it to only that spot. I have freckles on my face and I bought this with the hopes of lightening them. BIG MISTAKE. What I got is a swollen face with hives. I only used a pea-size amount. This does not work. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I bought this for [$] at our local pharmacy store where I worked and all I get is a swollen ugly face for no reason. I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT AT ALL. My face is hot, itchy and red as I write. Whatever bleaching ingredient they put in this product probably is of low quality and not highly tested on individuals before they sell this out to the public. This is the first time I got such a bad reaction to a face cream. Best to stick with the trusted name brands. A bit more pricey but they won't make you suffer like this. Pros Cons

I had considered laser treatments or a chemical peel by a cosmetic surgeon, but now that isn't necessary. I do use it faithfully and also slather on the sunscreen when I will have sun exposure so that the spots won't come back.
