Most vitamins that contain vitamin E are dl-tocopherol, which is oxidized and your gut will not absorb it. This vitamin E supplement contains d-tocopherol, which is unoxidized and your gut will absorb it. As a woman preparing for motherhood soon and as an RN, I highly recommend vitamin E d-tocopherol for adequate absorption.
