They're fun, I'll give them that. They actually taste really good, although they do leave a little bit of aftertaste. I assume that's from the fish oil. I was glad to see they contained DHA, since not all prenatals do. However, they don't contain any calcium, so I had to buy those too. Vitafusion also makes delicious calcium chews. It's just one more thing to pay for.

While they taste better than most, they do not have the right amount of vitamins for pregnant women. There is absolutely no iron or calcium in these vitamins--2 essential nutrients for pregnant women. If you are taking these without any calcium or iron supplements, then you're not getting the right amount of vitamins. Calcium and iron should be taken in higher doses during pregnancy. Generally, it is the iron that makes people nauseous when eating prenatals, and that may be why people don't feel nauseous eating them, but that doesn't mean these are better--they just don't have the essential nutrient necessary for pregnant women that also happens to make women feel slightly nauseous.
Had these vitamins for a few weeks and s far, so good. They taste fine and are a candy kind of chewy which I like. Much more enjoyable than swallowing a pill whole.
I was so excited to try this product. So I went out & bought it a few days ago. I was saddened to find out that it isn't a complete prenatal vitamin. Why call it a "Prenatal Vitamin" when a regular multi-vitamin has more nutrients than this?? Anyways I can't swallow pills, it's a fear I have. That's why I gave it a try. When I first tried it, it was verrryyy sweet. Than it had a bad fishy after taste. I am TTC so I will continue to take these gummies until I get my BFP.
I use this just for the vitamins that it gives me, no for prenatal purposes. Just after one week of using this product, my complexion has cleared from acne and I have much more energy.
This vitamin may be a choice if you can't tolerate iron, but it doesn't meet the recommendations for prenatal vitamins. It has 0 iron, 0 Calcium, 25% of the Zinc, and only about 60% of the vitamin C. To vitafusion: doing the research I read numerous entries where women only discovered this fact after fainting or being found anemic by their Drs.
Respectfully, you really should post the no iron fact prominently on at least the webpage so prospective purchasers are properly informed.
I am not pregnant nor have I ever been, however I do take these on a daily basis and my energy level has been up and I am more capable of functioning that I used to prior to taking them.
I am pregnant with my thrid baby (27 weeks). With my previous pregnancies I could take the typical huge prenatal tabs with no problems. This time around the morning sickness was debilitating. I tried switching the time I took the regular store-brand prenatal tabs to bedtime and while that helped some, I was still miserable. My midwife suggested I try a chewable prenatal tab without the iron as iron can aggrevate morning sickness. I was losing weight and desperate to get back to myself in order to take care of my family. I found these and within a week I was feeling better. Not 100% but I could at least function and eat three meals a day. I stopped losing weight and now ten weeks later I feel wonderful! My iron levels have been checked and are normal. I do supplement with calcium as well.
