I spread a little of this directly onto a sore neck one evening when nothing was helping the pain- taken internally, that is. Big mistake. Within a few hours, my neck was so red & hot that it felt worse than a bad case of sun poisoning I once had. I literally had to take a pill of every variety of pain medicine available to me in the house, apply three ice packs to the area, and lie completely still on the ice packs (any movement of my neck caused the burning to turn into a feeling akin to being branded). I went from having a normal temperature to a fever of over 100 degrees. Thankfully, the next morning, the redness & fever were gone, and this product did not break my skin open. I've never had such a horrid allergic reaction to anything in my life, and I've had a dozen surgeries, several hospital stays & I've been prescribed just about every medication known to mankind at one time or another. I'm not allergic to cayenne or black pepper, by the way I use them daily in cooking, and have for many years- and I've tried many other kinds of hot pepper, no bad reaction to any. Buyer beware!!!
