I enjoy flossing, but can be over vigorous at times. I find that normal floss, because it is "razor thin", can cut into my gums, and also shred. Because it is thicker than floss, this dental tape is sturdy, and gentle on my gums. It also does not feel too slippery like Glide floss feels to me. It has just the right amount of waxing, and I like the hint of mint. However, if your teeth are very closely spaced, you might find this too thick for your needs.

This is the worst dental floss I have ever used. Since it is discribed as 'tape' I thought it might be somewhat like Glide, but it is nothing like that.

It's thickly waxed, so it glides gently, and wide enough that it wipes the tooth surfaces.

I find most floss to be thin & flimsy, but this sturdy store-brand tape one that I buy 6-8 at a time when on sale. Years ago, many manufacturers seemed to phase out the thicker tapes, but I was on dental cloud nine when I came across this one. The thick tape is easier to grasp and doesn't pinch my fingers as much as I go along. The one negative comment I'll leave is that it only comes in the 50 yd length and not 100 yd.

I am not a picky consumer of floss but was very disappointed with the Waxed Dental Tape. My teeth are not evenly spaced, but I had trouble pulling this floss out of even my wider spaced teeth. The closer/tighter teeth? Forget it! Also frays very easily. I use Reach Total Care now and haven't had any of these problems.
