Indications
Treats frequent heartburn (occurs 2 or more days a week). Not intended for immediate relief of heartburn; this drug may take 1 to 4 days for full effect.
Warnings
Allergy alert: Do not use if you are allergic to omeprazole. Do not use if you have trouble or pain swallowing food, vomiting with blood, or bloody or black stools. These may be signs of a serious condition. See your doctor. Ask a doctor before use if you have: Had heartburn over 3 months. This may be a sign of a more serious condition. Heartburn with lightheadedness, sweating or dizziness. Chest pain or shoulder pain with shortness of breath; sweating; pain spreading to arms, neck or shoulders; or lightheadedness. Frequent chest pain. Frequent wheezing, particularly with heartburn. Unexplained weight loss. Nausea or vomiting. Stomach pain. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking: Warfarin or clopidogrel (blood-thinning medicine), prescription antifungal or anti-yeast medicines, diazepam (anxiety medicine), digoxin (heart medicine), tacrolimus (immune system medicine), or prescription antiretrovirals (medicines for HIV infection). Stop use and ask a doctor if: Your heartburn continues or worsens, you need to take this product for more than 14 days, or you need to take more than 1 course of treatment every 4 months. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

I take it every morning with my other meds (when I remember) & it works for a full 24 hours unless I REALLY indulge in fried or spicy foods. I recommend this product highly for both it's effectiveness and it's price.

This "generic" is a great value, but if you get it on sale (either buy one/get one 1/2 price OR an email discount - $5 off order) it is even better. I got lucky and got both discounts at the same time so I ordered 8 sets! In order to get the discounts, you have to make each one a separate order, but since the total price before the discount is over $40, I still got free shipping! I was surprised that the free shipping applied to the price before the discount. My family and friends are set for quite a while.
Other than the price, I would actually order this PPI just to get the individual bottles. I find the brand name foil push through sheets very difficult to work with. The bottles are a much better option - especially if you have arthritis or any hand pain issues.
I will definitely order more the next time I see the sales.

I take omep regularly and am very please with this version. The price is right and the use of bottles instead of the foil packs is a big help. I'll continue to keep an eye on this provider for sales.
