Comments about Walgreens Sport Sunscreen Stick SPF 50, .5 oz:

I would prefer my 7 and 5 year olds sons use sunscreen lotion, but they do not like the lotion much and will fuss and squirm. With this stick sunscreen, the kids will do the work themselves on school days, which is very helpful since my wife and I both work. I still use lotion on them on long days in the sun.

We live in southern California and my 7 year old has been using this sunscreen for about 18 months and hasn't burned. Occasionally he will get red on the neck around the collar, but I only need to point it out to him to be more careful when applying.

Finally, this stick does not have oxybenzone, when other sticks do, which is why I use this brand.

The reason I do not give a 5/5 is the cost compared to lotion, but that is just the nature of stick sunscreens.

Comments about Walgreens Sport Sunscreen Stick SPF 50, .5 oz:

I bought this at the local store that sells this brand (the W word is forbidden in reviews, go figure). This was a waste of money, the product smells strongly of peppermint oil, which is not a necessary ingredient in sunscreen. My 9 year old son refuses to wear it because of the stink, which is awfully strong for something that is supposed to go near the eyes. It is not fragrance free. It will be going back to the store for a refund.
