I am a long time Metamucil user. I saw this in a local store and decided to give it a try. After all, it's a lot cheaper than the real stuff. Unfortunately, although the title of this review says that it tastes like dirt, the taste might really be closer to sawdust. OK, maybe the taste is like really dirty sawdust. My advice is to pay the extra $ (probably comes out to a few cents per serving) and avoid gagging or actually throwing up every time you drink this stuff. Trust me, it's awful.
Interesting, we could not order this from Walmart for delivery, and they are frequently out of stock locally so it had become a "bother". My hubby mixes it with the more exotic (and expensive) berry and lemon flavors to cut costs, change things up a bit to "get it down", and achieve the desired results. Having it shipped to us in bulk is FABULOUS! No searching, no waiting in line no lugging!
Put one dose into an empty glass. Mix this product (child or adult dose) with at least 8 ounces (a full glass) of water or other fluid. Taking this product without enough liquid may cause choking. See choking warning. Stir briskly and drink promptly. If mixture thickens, add more liquid and stir.
