It's been really emotional and expensive to have as much work done to my mouth as I have! To have tons of dental problems my entire life has just not been pleasant-and I'm only 27. This is my first time using the WaterPik, and I think I've found the answer to my prayers.

Like a lot of people, my problems are mainly from not well flossing enough. The spaces between my teeth vary from very tight to very loose, even after having braces, and it's always been impossible to make sure I've cleaned every space properly, even after using different types of floss (dental tape, uncoated, waxed, etc.)

I decided to buy the WaterPik after visiting my aunt who owns one-she had nothing but great things to say about it.

After getting my wisdom teeth removed, finishing all my dental repair work, getting a cleaning, xrays, and a new retainer- buying a WaterPik was the final step in my catch-up to-do list for mouth.

The WaterPik has not only helped clean out everything I could never manage to flush out with mouthwash, brushing, and flossing, but it's been fantastic at stimulating all of my gums. After a month and a half post wisdom teeth extraction, some of the gum areas near my molars have still been very sore and aching throughout the day. After the first time with the WaterPik, the pain was almost completely GONE. The more frequently I use my WaterPik, the less pain I have.

In the end, the WaterPik has been a great help for me and I couldn't have been happier with my purchase! The price here is really great, too. I use the pressure at a level 8 (of 10) and have to refill the tank 2-3 times in a single use. It's lightly inconvenient but not enough of an issue that I regret my purchase. I just keep a water bottle near the sink and refill it before hand so I can refill the tank easily and with one hand.

As another user mentioned, this is my Step 1 of 3 parts to my dental routine. Following the WaterPik, I floss then brush. My teeth feel close to that dentist-clean feeling and that is not only satisfying but eases my mind at night. Until I have total confirmation that this can replace my flossing routine, I'll continue to do both (but I rarely do I find food particles or anything left).

For once, I'm excited about my next trip to the dentist to see what progress I've made. I think it'll be a good one!

If you have had bad dental life like like me, give this product a shot. I'm thrilled about it, and the raving reviews tell me you won't be disappointed.

Be careful about all the glowing reviews from people who say they no longer need to floss after using this. That is a big mistake; this does not replace flossing. I use this device 4 times per day, and I used to think it was getting my teeth spotlessly clean and there was no need to floss. Then one day I bought a scaler tool (the tool dentists use). After using the WaterPik, I scraped my teeth and still got a LOT of plaque inbetween teeth and near the gumline. When I repeated the same exercise 2 weeks later but using floss instead of the Pik, the scaler removed less plaque.

This device is a supplement to, not a replacement for, flossing. Where this device is good is for people with orthodontics and for those with pockets under the gum line. For regular folks, this device is only good for removing food immediately after eating. Don't be lazy -- you still need to floss!

Love the WaterPik. Should have used it long time ago. My gums stopped bleeding after 3 uses. It does a much better jobs than dental floss and toothpicks. Recommend it everyone. I have not tried other brands and models yet, but the technology is awesome.

My dental assistant recommended I add this product to my home dental care. I tried to purchase it at a number of different local stores but could not find this exact model. Finally, I came back to this site and found the product. Saving myself more traveling, shopping, time and cost, I ordered the waterpik from this site. It cost less [...] Can't beat that!I added this product to my nightly dental cleaning habits. I always floss, now use the water pik and then brush my teeth before retiring to bed. My mouth sure feels good at night by adding the waterpik to my nightly procedures. I am hoping to get a better report from my next dental visit and that this product is durable and will last a long time.

Comments about WaterPik Ultra Water Flosser, Model WP 100, 1 ea:

Cleans hard to reach areas, preventing plaque build-up and gum disease. When used with a bit of Listerine® knocks out "hot spots" in one or two applications.
This is my second Water Pik®; my first lasted 20+ years, and finally gave out. The new model has a better "footprint", but seemingly a smaller water tank. It comes with 5-6 different tips, but I've used only two, so far. The pump is not as powerful as the old model, but that one could do some gum damage at it's high setting. The new model avoid that issue.

I purchased this at the recommendation of my 15 year old's orthodontist. I was impressed with the results that she got and would have rated the waterpik five stars , except that after only 7 months of use the motor died. Of course I will buy another one, but considering the price of the WaterPik the quality fell short.

I first searched informational sites for recommendations on oral irragators. Waterpik has been around since I was little and I was curious to see if anything new/better had come to the market. Guess what? Waterpik was still the front runner.

My son got his braces on this week and we fired up the Waterpik. After shooting water all over the bathroom mirror while perfectly cleaning out his braces he declared the Waterpik a success. He loves it. Yeah!

It does cost more, but what does the dentist cost. My teeth are very close together, so flossing is difficult. No moew floss. Make sure you wmpty the water after each use. I made a cover for it, to keep it free of germs.
Don'r suggest putting mouth rinses in it, it will wear out faster.

Comments about WaterPik Ultra Water Flosser, Model WP 100, 1 ea:

I used the Water Pik at least once a day for not quite a year when the insertable piece that fits in the wand came apart. The piece still inside the unit could not be removed so the unit became trash just that quickly. There is a lot of plastic in a Water Pik. Although it did a good job, it really isn't all that sturdy and isn't worth replacing once a year. I found an inexpensive water flosser online that connects and removes from the faucet neatly and quickly. Takes up no space, requires nofilling or cleaning, since the water flows from the tap through the unit. It also doesn't have the pulsing action of the Water Pik which is unfortunate, but for a fraction of the price of a Water Pik it does a good job so I am satisfied. If Water Pik comes out with a better quality product at some point in the future I might consider getting one, but what they have now is just not good enough.
