That is a big mistake; this does not replace flossing. I use this device 4 times per day, and I used to think it was getting my teeth spotlessly clean and there was no need to floss. Then one day I bought a scaler tool (the tool dentists use). After using the WaterPik, I scraped my teeth and still got a LOT of plaque inbetween teeth and near the gumline. After three daily uses, I find that my gums (which bleed easily) are not so sensitive and are not bleeding as much. My breath is much fresher, and I look with anticipation to my next dentist visit. My teeth are cleaner and it gets all the places that tooth brushes cannot get. It is excellent for people with braces! My dentist says that it has improved my dental hygiene tremendously and my mouth loves it! Pros

Comments about WaterPik Ultra Water Flosser, Model WP 100, 1 ea: I was very happy with this product, my teeth felt much cleaner though I had been an avid flosser and made use of the premium Sonicare brush. One day it just did not pump the water jets, and that surprosed me because I barely had 3 months use out of it. I am in a quandry, do not know where/how to return it and need to use it; my teeth are in rapid decline. I don't have time for this. By the time I figure out what to do I will be back in emergency procedures at the dentist, so I am going to have to buy another one and then get stuck with two. I am really sick and tired of CHEAPLY made garbage that we have had to tolerate over the last 30 years thanks to the mantra of GREED. It seems I spend all of my money and time replacing things I shouldn't have to keep replacing. This is pathetic. If anyone knows of a company that makes a product that can do as nice a job of cleaning my gums AND makes a Durable and RELIABLE product let me know! I am not at all happy about spending [$] every three months! Pros
