I looked at everything I could find that would be good for cleaning around bridges and caps on my teeth. This works the best of anything I could find.

My dentist told me that I could lose all my teeth in 5 years without periodontal surgery while I was pregnant. I underwent two surgeries to cut away the infected bone and tissue. I was told to get my teeth deep-cleaned every three month afterward. I did brush, floss, and dental pick cleaning rigrously. But, during my deep cleaning I was bleeding badly. A friend recommended waterpik to me. I started using it twice daily after breakfast and dinner. My gum inflamation went away and I stopped bleeding duing regular dental hygienist visit completely. I have been a waterpik user for over 20 years and I have still all my root-exposed teeth.

Usage: 3 weeks. This is a awesome product. Both my wife and I use it daily. I hate flossing and this product give me an excuse for not flossing regularly. My wife is a clean freak and she loves the Waterpik to complement her flossing. Can it completely replaces flossing? I would say NO. At setting #6 The pressure is strong enough to flush out everything. I have not venture to crank it up to 10 (max).

My only complain is the water reservoir should be bigger. My wife uses 2 tanks. While I only use 1 tank, I can easily use 1.5 tank.

I highly recommend this product.

Really like this water jet.Especially like the way the jets can be released by pushing a button. Works a lot better than my old one and will recommend this one to all.

We bought one and enjoy it, so we bought one for each of our 7 children for their families for Christmas. The price was right. We feel it is something they could use everyday.

I love this thing, it has a few bugs but no deal breakers and it works better than i ever expected. I purchased it becasue my hygenist recommended it to clean gum pockets that are starting to form because food accumulates and can;t be easily removed by conventional cleaning. It's a self reinforcing cycle: the pockets capture food particles which are difficult to completely remove, these decay and nourish bacteria which make the pockets worse. This unit is a 'pressure washer' for the gum line; it's amazing (and disgusting) to see just how much junk it washes out into the sink. I love the tounge cleaner also- it works better than anything I've every tried.

The only cons are: hose is too short for tall people, I tend to pull the unit off the counter unless I keep one hand on it while using. Also the lid is not molded well, the 'hinge' mechanism pulls itself apart when opened. I compensated for this by putting the tips in a toothbrush holder and putting the lid in a drawer. It's best to empty and towel dry the unit and water reservoir after each use and I use warm water because cold water is uncomforatble on my gums so this is really not an issue. It's not really quiet either but not as noisy as other similar units.

I am very happy with this Waterpik. It has plenty of pressure and capacity. It is very attractive and the tips are handy to get at. I have been using Waterpiks since 1976 and this one is by far the best. I use it once or twice a day. My last one lasted over 10 years.
I made a mistake and bought another brand and it didn't have the pressure or the capacity of the Waterpik and now it is setting on a shelf in the closet.
Also, Drugstore.com is an excellent place to do business. I will be buying from them again.
