That is a big mistake; this does not replace flossing. I use this device 4 times per day, and I used to think it was getting my teeth spotlessly clean and there was no need to floss. Then one day I bought a scaler tool (the tool dentists use). After using the WaterPik, I scraped my teeth and still got a LOT of plaque inbetween teeth and near the gumline. The tip connection and handle storage features are greatly improved. The reservoir has just the right capacity for a thorough cleaning and tongue brushing. Durability remains to be seen, but so far, so very good! Pros

It does a thorough job of cleaning teeth, has an ample water well, & we love that the top lifts off for easy filling, also the individual piks are neatly kept inside the top. I am so happy I bought this WaterPik and I highly recommend it. Pros

I do not know how this product compares to others, and I have not had my dental check-up yet since using the water-pik (so I am unsure of how it compares to the benefits of flossing). It's certainly messier than flossing, as I have sprayed myself and the bathroom numerous times. However, my teeth do feel cleaner after using it. :) Pros

Leaves my mouth and teeth feeling almost as clean as getting a professional cleaning. Great for cleaning and stimulating gum line. Works great with a little bit of mouthwash mixed in with water. Reservoir runs out quickly when using at higher intensity, but it also stores better (which keeps my wife happy.) Pros

However, the first one I received had a defective pause button. It would be stuck and water would not spray. Fortunately, Drugstore.com was so wonderful, they replaced it immediately by sending out another. The second one is fine. Be care of the button. Also it is a bit noisy and it takes getting used to regarding water spraying everywhere! Overall, it is a great product and would recommend it to anyone! I even use it because it has multiple tips! Beats flossing anytime! Pros

I was recommended to purchase this item by the tech who cleans my teeth, and am very pleased that I purchaed this instead of the very expensive toothbrush which was formerly recommended to me. It does a great job, and was a lot cheaper. I can brush my teeth; rinse my mouth and freshen my breath all at the same time. Pros

If I had one complaint it would be that I don't like things on my countertop but don't want to get it out and put it away everyday either. So I keep it on my countertop and wish it was a little smaller. Pros
