On the recommendation of my ENT, I started adding 1 tablespoon of Manuka honey to my tea, as I've had a lot of upper respiratory infections over the last 3 years. My dad could hear the congestion leave my voice after just one day! I'll be on this honey as long as I live, it really seems to be helping me! As for concerns that it is packaged in plastic, the plastic is BPA-free. Active 16+ contains the minimum level of active particles that experts recommend for health benefits, I was on 10+ before and the 16+ has me doing even better. I add it to my tea or put it on toast, tastes delicious! PS both time I've ordered it's said that it was out of stock, yet came virtually right away.

I would rather use foods that I am going to ingest that are packaged in glass rather than plastic. But, having said that, I do buy this brand from time to time b/c the other brand (in glass) that I like is often out of stock. Manuka has so many health benefits but I feel like I am defeating the purpose by eating something that is in plastic. A real dilemma.

I have been purchasing Wedderspoon Honey 16+ for more than a year and for me it is the very best honey I have ever consumed. It also has some unique health benefits so if you can afford it, I highly recommend it. Unlike the typical supermarket honey, it is opaque and looks like caramel. It also tastes like caramelized and crystalized sugar but the sweetness is much milder than that of processed sugar (and the typical honey). Unlike other types of mainstream honey, Manuka honey I find does not alter the taste of tea in an unpleasant way.
