I started using this cream 11 years ago when my daughter was a baby and I still use it every day. My son, who is two now, does not go to bed without this cream on his little bottom. If he gets really chapped, and I am talking raw and kicking and screaming when you touch him, I lather it on and the rash is COMPLETELY gone the next morning. I am not kidding! It is just wonderful. I love the smell and I love that it does not have zinc in it. It doesn't leave that hard to get off crust that zinc does. It is like lotion. You rub it in and it disappears. I don't rub it in though, I just leave a thin or thick layer depending on if he has a rash or not. I am never without at least 3 tubes (one upstairs, one downstairs and one in his to go bag). It works well on any kind of skin irritation (burns, chapped skin/lips). I also by this for all new moms that I know. It's too good not to pass along and so worth the money! I must say that it does a wonderful job of soothing the irritation! If I epilate my upper lip or inner thighs and then smooth on this cream, the redness disappears and the pain is gone. It works well but I happen to loathe the scent and the scent is really persistent, it doesn't go away for hours. I will have to find something else to use because I just can't take the smell. My son's skin gets really dry in Winter and this is keeping her skin very healthy! I've tried others before but this is the best! Best Uses Comments about Weleda Baby Calendula Baby Cream, 2.6 oz: I bought this as a post-bath body lotion for my 2 yr old. I didn't love it. And sorry, I just can't get past the smell. Even my 2 yr old said "ew, stinky!" so we stopped using it on him and i tried using it on myself for my dry hands. it's thick and creamy, but doesn't feel like it spreads or absorbs well. it's just a big disappointment for me. i'm really surprised it got such good reviews (that's why i bought it in the first place). But maybe if you're using it just as a diaper cream or just on a few spots of eczema it's less important that it doesn't soak in or spread well. Cleared up a rash in a matter of days, you could see it getting better very quickly. Use it every other change and have not seen a rash again. It's a very thick, greasy cream that is the ultimate in heavy-duty moisturizing. I really appreciate the all-natural ingredients that don't irritate my sensitive skin or eyes. The skin was red and crusty, i tried all sorts of moisturizers/lotions/lanolin but it actually made the problem worse. I used the cream as soon as it arrived, and the result was great, 2 days and ALL of acne was gone! I use it on diaper rush as well, or on my own dry skin. It works. I've started using this ointment on his dry and irritated parts after his bath and have observed no further rashes.
