This is wonderful stuff. I have chronically dry, chapped lips and I've systematically worked my way through drugstore lipbalms and less widely-available products. My search is over. Weleda 'Everon' is my new best friend. I've only been using it for a few days and my lips are vastly improved.

Extremely waxy products may protect lips from further damage, but they don't soften my lips. Greasy balms simply slide over the lips' surface and don't moisturize and soften.

For me, Weleda is the best of all worlds. It's very emollient without being greasy and it's just waxy enough to last well on the lips. They've struck a perfect balance between all the variables.

It's got a light, pleasant scent that really does smell of vanilla and roses as previous reviewers have said, and it smells natural rather than 'perfumy'. (I grow well-scented roses and find most lab-created pseudo-rose scents intolerable. I would put Smith's Rosebud Salve at the far end of the 'intolerable' category.)

The packaging is uninspiring but it's perfectly functional, and that's all I ask.

This is among the best lip balms I've ever used, but the taste is off-putting. For me, it's mind over matter - I tolerate the taste because it works. If the musty, bitter rose taste could be reversed, I'd have given the product 5 stars.

Comments about Weleda Everon Lip Balm, .13 oz:

I bought this based on the great reviews that I had read. I was so disappointed. Regular ChapStick is better than this. It goes on waxy and does not seem to sink into your lips, rather it sits on top. The smell is a cross between roses and perfume it's horribale and it doesn't go away over time like some people have suggested. I am returing mine [...]

Comments about Weleda Everon Lip Balm, .13 oz:

I use it whenever my lips feel dry, and it's the only chap stick that does not make my lips worse. After using it for a day or two, I tend not to need it anymore. There is no menthol, which I'm glad for. Tastes sort of like chocolate or cocoa butter to me.

Comments about Weleda Everon Lip Balm, .13 oz:

Everon is a good name for this Balm as it really stays put! The texture, though slighty waxy, is protective,-the oils sink in to moisturize and a bit of film remains on your lips in order to protect them from the elements.
The package is designed like a lipstick, so if you dont dial it up too high there should be no trouble with breakage. --also I get no clumping problems as other reviewers, though I DO see, how it could happen if applied in a very cold area.
As for the fragrance, (i'm an intern at a perfumerie), this is a very light, non foody vanilla-a floral vanilla with a hint of rose and cocoa butter-I adore it, but I agree, if your not open minded to trying new things, and are used to run of the mill fruit or mint flavors only-this may not be for you-in which case you should also avoid Smith's Rosebud Salve!
But if your open to somethin new -give this a try! Its very effective and wonderful stuff!! A little pricey for a lip balm maybe that doesnt come from a prestige brand, so its a bit of a treat for yourself-but like they say-YOUR WORTH IT!
