It heals chapped, dry/red areas if I use it as a night cream, and as a day cream it protects against cold and wind. I can only use it once a day because it is so rich, and I would not recommend this as a daily moisturizer for someone with normal/oily skin. But for my dry/sensitive winter skin it is just the ticket. I would not recommend this for a day cream because it is very greasy, but the smell is amazing and my skin looks fabulous every morning. great for hands, feet, anywhere that is dry or chapped. I tend to dry and flake in between my fingers from harsh soaps and constant hand washing. Although this hand lotion has a light, pleasant smell, the greasy aftermath wouldn't go away, even after several long minutes rubbing it between my hands. I ended up giving it away. I've been having a little problem with "middle-age" acne and tried the Weleda Skin Food and to my amazement it has helped tremendously with my problem areas. I now use it every night before I go to bed and periodically throughout the day on trouble spot and my skin looks much better. Comments about Weleda Skin Food, 2.5 oz: I use it instead of lip balm. It is such a great product that it takes very little to soothe painful skin, like with sunburn, scrapes and the like. The back of the heel gets dry and rough and Skin Food helps keep this area from cracking; apply it after getting rid of your built up callouses.
