After seeing the TV ads about Wellgate knee supports for women, I decided to try one. It gives my knee the support I need and is comfortable. I ordered a second one so I can wear it while the other is being washed. It's easy to maintain. The only bad thing about it would be that it wouldn't be very attractive to wear with a skirt/dress.
