Best Uses Comments about Yes to Cucumbers Daily Calming Moisturizer SPF 30, 1.4 fl oz: I bought this thinking it was a daily moisturizer with spf 30 which is what it advertises itself as, but I noticed after 2 uses that it is just sunscreen. The packaging leads you to believe it is lotion with spf, but upon reading the back of the bottle, you quickly find its just sunscreen. I'm sure its great sunscreen, but I wanted a moisturizer. Pros

Comments about Yes to Cucumbers Daily Calming Moisturizer SPF 30, 1.4 fl oz: So here's what I figured out to make this product work better. Pump the lotion into your hand, add 1-2 drops of any oil meant for sensitive skin. You might get greasy if you add too much so be sure to experiment. (I personally use Aveda's All Sensitive oil right now but have also used neem oil.) The oil helps emulsify the thick lotion and it goes on no problem. So you still get the all the benefits without the hassle. Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about Yes to Cucumbers Daily Calming Moisturizer SPF 30, 1.4 fl oz: Ususally love cucumber products. This was dry, chalky, bumpy like old lotion - couldn't blend it in and it left a white effect on face. Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about Yes to Cucumbers Daily Calming Moisturizer SPF 30, 1.4 fl oz: The texture of this product is just disgusting, it's thick and chunky and heavy, it doesn't absorb well and leaves a nasty coating on the skin. I should have known better than to get an "all natural" product with sunscreen since the only all natural sunscreens are based on zinc oxide. Pros

Comments about Yes to Cucumbers Daily Calming Moisturizer SPF 30, 1.4 fl oz: I love this product. Very gentle on the skin. Pros

Best Uses Comments about Yes to Cucumbers Daily Calming Moisturizer SPF 30, 1.4 fl oz: I found this cream to be difficult to rub in to the skin. Made with zinc and titanium oxides, it goes on like a mineral based sunscreen lotion that requires much rubbing to avoid white streaks. I won't use it as a daily moisturizer, but am keeping it on hand to use as a sunscreen. Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about Yes to Cucumbers Daily Calming Moisturizer SPF 30, 1.4 fl oz: I used to have the Yes to Tomatoes face moisturizer, which I loved-- non-greasy, leaves skin feeling great, and a very nice, mild scent. I was looking for something natural with some SPF and found this, so I thought I'd give it a try. It is so thick that it's hard to rub in and leaves my face looking white from the SPF, and all ruddy from having to rub it so much. And because it was so thick, I felt like it had no "calming" effect whatsoever, just clogged my pores. Maybe I would have seen a beneficial effect if I'd used it consistently for a week, but it's so poorly textured and makes my skin feel so heavy that I just haven't used it. Displaying reviews 1-7 |
