If you're not a fan of spice teas then you may not like this but the aroma of this tea is enough to make my mouth water and is what first got me to try it. I normally drink green and jasmine teas so didn't know I would like this one so much but it has a very soothing aroma and flavor and is definitely easy on the stomach. My favorite time to drink this is after a good workout. I don't notice any laxative type effects at all and I don't know if it's really been detoxing my system or not but i DO always feel great after this tea so maybe it IS cleansing. I thought I could feel it working though, so I decided to give it another try. This morning, I brewed a cup and put it in the blender with ice, acai berry juice and a little OJ. It came out like a delightful fruit spritzer/smoothie. I drank the whole glass and within 2 hours had to RUN to the bathroom. The description says 'no harsh laxatives'... I'm not so sure. The tea contains all the right ingredients to improve digestion so I do not agree with their "purifier" claim. Go get the ingredients yourself and buy Lipton Yellow label tea bags (Indian stores or Online) and make it yourself. If you are paid more than $1 you are got ripped off. Pros

Between the two, I have been feeling better (less bloating, less tired). Not sure if it's the tea, the other product, or both or if it's a placebo effect. Effect or no, I still enjoy the taste of the tea. After reading other reviews, I thought it would be spicy like the Tazo Spiced Chai tea. This is so different. It's an herbal tea, so it has a different flavor than regular black or green teas, but I don't find it spicy, either. It is flavorful with a hint of sweetness. I work nights (12-hr shifts), so I don't want to drink caffeinated drinks in the morning when I have to take a nap in the afternoon before work, so this is perfect. No complaints about the product, but I did find it cheaper in my local grocery store, though. Pros

I use it everyday for 3 to 4 weeks at a time, then I take a break for a couple months so my system doesn't have to rely on it. I am a daily tea drinker and I love the flavor of this. I drink 2 cups every morning before I exercise and just love it!!! |
