I have been searching for a magnified, hand held, well lit make up mirror. When I saw this particular one, I thought I had finally found it.

Unfortunately, rather than the entire mirror being lit all around the round edges, there are two small (but powerful!) lights just at the base of the mirror. The actual lit area is tiny. Impossible to do your entire face as a whole.
I should have paid more attention. I will be returning this.

I bought this model several years ago and was thrilled with it. Several months ago I purchased the same mirror and the lighting was not good but I kept it anyway as I needed a new mirror. Then last month I decided to try again and again the lighting was not like the first one I had bought. I don't know if they've changed the design or if this is a quality control problem but I've returned this one and will not be buying another unless I can be assurred that the problem is fixed. I wrote to the company and got a ho hum response. Not good customer service.

This mirror is large, light, and distortion free - and the stand idea works. But as for the lighting...it was downright laughable! It is like having two dim flashlight spots shining on your neck. It doesn't light the mirror surface AT ALL. This could possibly get 3 stars if you just want it for a magnifying mirror, if it didn't claim that it was a lighted mirror. It is NOT a lighted mirror- it is a mirror with a lighted handle!
