Really happy with this mirror. Pricey but worth it. Light is distributed evenly all the way around your face. It is dimmable, and I also like the plug in its base. Another thing I like about this unit, is the magnification is not distorted.

While I was waiting for a replacement bulb for this mirror I realized just how fabulous it was when I had to use a different one temporarily. It is bright and clear and perfect for putting on makeup. The magnified side is perfect for tweezing - you won't miss a hair!

The light would come on every 3 or 4 tries, and the plastic cover around the bulb gave me a slight shock once. The light was so very bright, that it made it actually hard to apply make-up if I had wanted to use it for that purpose. I saw bright "rings" in my vision after I turned it off! The lack of consistency in the light turning on and the glaring brightness made me decide to return this product. It is the only thing I've ever had to return from Drugstore.com, however.
