If my skin is dry, I use Zapzit under my moisturizer. If my skin feels oily I'll skip the moisturizer. What I like about Zapzit is that the formula (basically Vaseline) the salicylic acid is in is gentle and non-drying.

After only a few uses, there was a marked improvement on my skin.

I'm sticking with this one.

I like this product because it doesn't irritate my skin unlike most acne treatments out there. It leaves a moisturizing film and doesn't dry out my skin. The film will disappear once you rub the product in well and give it time to sink in. I apply it ONLY on the spots where I have the pimple instead of applying it on my entire face. I use it 1-3x daily after cleansing. This is not a miracle worker, so pimples won't disappear with just a few times use and it's gonna take time to work. Overall, it's a very nice product that works fine.

About me: I have oily acne proned skin & I'm in my early 20's. My skin is extremely sensitive to benzoyl peroxide, so I use salicylic acid instead.

I use it twice a day, in the morning and before going to bed. The smell is funny but I only apply small amount so it doesn't really bother. It leaves film on the skin and doesn't dry out ances/skin. The trick is that you have to rub the gel into skin for 20 seconds or so. (The instruction says 60 seconds, but I figured that 20 seconds is good enough.) The film will keep the acne from getting worse if you put on makeup after the gel.

I was onec sceptical about it but since the price is really competitive, it won't hurt. I've been using it for 2 weeks and I'd say that it really controls my ance and blackheads. My money was well spent!

This product did not do anything at all towards speeding the healing time of any type of pimple-- it was totally useless. In the past when I've used products with 2% salicylic acid they helped the zits disappear, but I think the propylene glycol (main ingredient of this Zapzyt gel) is not effective at delivering the salicylic acid to the skin. In their attempt to prevent your skin from getting too dry, they made this product ineffective against zits. I don't think anyone who has used a strong acne fighting product in the past would rate this gel as worth buying. I made sure to review this since I bought it based on so many great reviews but ended up unhappy with the purchase.

Compare ingredient list with ZAPZYT Adult Acne Clearing Gel --they're identical. Just buy whichever one is cheaper, since they're exactly the same (except for packaging)

I only break out once in a while, maybe one or two zits at a time. I tried using this product to clear up those one or two zits and it simply doesn't work for me AT ALL. There was no difference in using it or just letting my skin run its own course. It didn't make it any worse, but certainly didn't make it any better either!

I have used ZAPZYT Pore Treatment Gel on and off for several years now, it's a potent spot treatment, and helps to calm down the occasional flare up. But it's not to be used all over the face as a preventative measure, as over time it will cause redness and irritation.

One caveat is that it can be incredibly drying on the skin, even when used with a moisturizer. I actually find this to be a rather helpful feature when combating whiteheads. But when dealing with one of those inflamed pustules that never seem to die quick enough the over drying caused by this product can be a bit much.

Over all would recommend this product, unless you have sensitive skin in which case this product would likely be too irritating.

this product is cheaper than the Aveeno correcting acne cream which cost twice as much.It also contains twice the amount of salicylic acid. Yet it didn;t irritate my sensitive skin.

LOVE THIS!! can wear under makeup and HYDRATES your skin! comes on oily but once rubbed in you dont feel it. really helps acne! very effective and you can start to see results in a day of using it.
