I like the idea of a swab since I hate taking meds of any kind. I use this mostly at night before I go to bed because I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night with severe allergies. I can pretty much gauge when I will have an allergy attack. (I have dogs even though I'm sensitive to their dander.) This is easy to use, but the swab is so soaked that when I pull it out of the tube, it's just barely hanging on. I've even resorted to using a Q-tip to apply this because the original swab fell off. The design could have been better. The swab end shouldn't sit in the solution. The product deserves a 4 because it works, but gets a 2 for poor design.

I used these swabs twice. Once last year and now this year. Both times I woke up the next day with painful nose sores, which turned worse in days to come. The first time, I didn't realize that Zicam was the culprit. But after the second use, it was clear that the gel causes the sores because the sores occurred in the exact same places as the gel was applied. I've NEVER had these sores before.

For best results use daily when experiencing seasonal allergies
Adults and children 6 years of age and older (with adult supervision):
Open tube (also see illustration on side of carton & insert):
Hold tube between thumb and forefinger at the blue band.
With the other hand hold at base of handle and snap open tube.
Pull out swab.
Apply medication just inside first nostril. Press lightly on the outside of first nostril for about 5 seconds. Re-dip swab in tube. Apply medication to second nostril. Press lightly on the outside of second nostril for about 5 seconds. Do not insert swab more than 1/4" past nasal opening.
Discard swab after use.
Wait at least 30 seconds before blowing nose.
Use one tube every 4 hours.
Children under 6 years of age: Consult a doctor before use.
