All the Zicam zinc products seem to work extremely well for me: I can't remember the last time I developed a bad cold when I started Zicam at the first symptoms, and I did develop a truly awful cold with a sore throat that lasted weeks one time when I didn't do my Zicam routine. The "zavors" chews are my favorite way to get the stuff down; hubby prefers the cherry RapidMelts.

Zicam Zavors are a homeopathic cold remedy that helps reduce the duration of a common cold. The "Zavor" variety is chewable (cherry flavored), which is a lot less objectionable for most than sucking on a lozenge. These won't produce immediate relief, but the active ingredient, Zinc, has been proven to help reduce the time from first symptom to "back to normal." I highly recommend these if you've got a cold - they really do work!
For best results, use at the first sign of a cold and continue to use for an additional 48 hours after symptoms subside.
Adults and children 6 years of age and older:
Take one coated chew at the onset of symptoms. Chew thoroughly before swallowing.
Repeat every three hours until symptoms are gone.
To avoid minor stomach upset, do not take on an empty stomach.
Do not eat or drink for 15 minutes after use. Do not eat or drink citrus fruits or juices for 30 minutes before or after use. Otherwise, drink plenty of fluids.
This product is not recommended for children under 6 years of age due to the hazard or choking.
