Warnings
Flammable: Keep away from fire or flame.
Allergy Alert: do not use this product if you have a history of allergy to local anesthetics such as procaine, butacaine, benzocaine or other "caine" anesthetics.
Stop use and ask a physician if sore mouth symptoms do no improve in 7 days, swelling, rash or fever develops, or irritation, pain or redness persists or worsens.
Apply only to affected area. Do not exceed recommended dosage, avoid contact with the eyes. Do no use for more than 7 days unless directed by a physician or dentist.
Keep this out of the reach of children.
Do not peel off protective film. Attempting to peel off film may result in skin irritation or tenderness. To remove film, first apply another coat of Zilactin-B to film, and immediately wipe the area with a gauze pad or tissue. Contains alcohol (70% by volume)
Last time I went to the dentist I had an active canker sore that was painful and throbbing. When asked separately, both the dentist and the hygienist recommended Zilactin-B. This product is hard to find, [...] It comes out as a brownish gel and forms a protective barrier over the canker sore. It causes a small rush of sensation as soon as you put it on, but then it numbs and forms a film over the sore that lasts for a few hours which seems to help the sore heal without the pain that usually comes from contact with the canker sore. This is a product we keep in our medicine chest at all times now!
I use this product on my daughter who is sufferring from painful canker sores. I tried many over the counter Canker Sore medicine - they didn't work. My Aunt got this product as a sample from her dentist and it has been the only relief I found in a medicine. We are finding out, now, what is contributing to this afflection, but while we were doing so Zilactin-B really helped.
I seem to get canker sores quite often, and always suffer from the pain. This time it was unbearable after it got irritated with some food I ate, so my mom gave me this product. It's great! It numbs the sore, (so it feels like the numbness you get from anesthesia at the dentists), it tastes a bit bitter, and hurts at first, but thats just proof that its working. It makes the pain instantly go away, so i can eat and drink with no pain at all! Great product!
I have been a sufferer of chronic canker sores since I was a teenager and I haven't be able to find anything that works like Zilactin-B does. This stuff is great! Of course, it hurts like MAD when you first put it on, but then it numbs and forms a flexible barrier that lasts through smiles, food, liquid, and talking. And since the barrier protects the sores, they're healing faster than without the barrier. It even works on tongue sores! I'm so relieved that I finally tried this stuff, will purchase again!
Adults and children 2 years and older: Dry irritated area. Apply a thin coat with cotton swab of clear finger up to 4 times daily. Allow gel to dry 30 - 60 seconds.
Children under 12 years: Adult supervision should be given in the use of this product.
