Warnings

I use it to count my change.
It counts change while you save it and when you cash in you simply push the reset button and very low battery usage I have had the same battery in it for over a year!
The negative is really not attributed to the machine error rather human error if you fail to push a coin in all the way and it pops back out it registers as a dime or a nickle or penny depending how far you the user pushed the coin down.
It has an error of about 3% max at full capacity and that is due to human error. So roughly 3 dollars of a hundred.

Overall, it's a cute idea for the price. However, it doesn't really keep track of the money going in very well. The pennies are, often times, confused with dimes so the count isn't accurate. If you just put in nickels & quarters, though, it'd do very well!

The Easter Bunny brought this to my 2 kids, ages 7 and 8, and they immediately starting shoving every coin they could find in it, dumped out their old piggy banks, and they are thrilled to know that they each have over $100 in it now!!
It teaches kids how to count money, and more importantly how to save and put a value on what they have.

I bought it to help teach "my little friend" how to save money. It's going to be a birthday gift along with a box full of money that he can use for it.

It's a great way to get young ones interested in money and saving. The only con is that the slot where you push the coins into is a little hard for young ones to push thru.
Installing/Changing the Batteries: Your new Counting Money Jar requires 2 x AA batteries (not included). Remove the lid from the Jar carefully. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screw on the battery compartment and lift the cover. Install 2 x AA batteries into the compartment, being careful to match the polarity as indicated (+ and -). Replace the cover over the compartment and tighten the screw. Screw the lid back onto the Jar tightly.
Deposit Coins. Insert a coin into the slot in the top of the County Money Jar. The amount deposited will be displayed on the screen.
To clear the account balance or reset the County Money Jar. The account will be reset to zero and $0.00 will be displayed on the screen if the batteries are removed. You can also remove the lid from the Jar and press the Reset button to rest the balance to $0.00.
Keep the Counting Money Jar clean and dry. If any part of the Jar gets wet, wipe it dry immediately. Use and store the bank indoors, in environments which maintain normal temperatures.
Handle the Jar carefully and do not drop it.
Occasionally wipe the Jar with a damp cloth to keep it clean and looking new. Do not allow water in or near the electronic slot, as this may damage the device.
Modifying or tampering with the Jar's internal components can cause it to malfunction and will void any warranty.
