This product used to be available locally, but no longer. With a recent month long attack of cold sores, this was the only thing that gave me some relief to the pain and helped to promote healing. It is tasteless, gentle and soothing. I previously recommended and gave some to a friend with extremely dry lips and she's now a big fan as well.

I liked the feel of the product. I just couldn't get past the taste & smell. I'm a die-hard carmex fan, but wanted to see what other products were out there for my severely dry/cracked lips. This product is very similar in the texture/feel and protection. But the taste is very bad...no comparison. I'll keep it around for emergencies...for when I can't find one of my 10 tubes of my fav product!!!

I have really really dry skin all over and especially when it comes to my lips. If I don't take preventive measures with lip balm then my lips will get so dry that they will split and bleed. Zim's Crack Creme is the perfect solution for me, it keeps my lips moisturized, blisters at bay, and prevents sunburns. If you have a problem with dry lips then this is the product for you. The smell and taste are not unpleasant either.

I bought this based on the wonderful reviews and the fact that I live in a state where we experience all 4 seasons (sometimes all at the same time, LOL!). I put this on overnight so that I could see how it would work. Well, unfortunately, it stings my lips and made them swell up. I don't know if it's the product or the packaging (I have very sensitive skin), but I ended up giving it to my brother.

When I first saw the title, "Crack Creme", I assumed it was for cracks in dried skin. I never thought of lips. I suffer from painful cracks that develop at the edges where my thumb nails meet the side edges. This is due to dry weather and house heating. The humidity get very low and I develop these painful cracks on the corner of my thumbs. I started using Zims Crack Ceme every night before I went to bad and every morning before I would do anything. I have not had any cracks, or signs of crack on my thumbs since I started using Crack Creme. I wouldn't go without it.

My lips are very sensitive, and before using this, they would dry out and crack BAD. I've used Zim's Crack Cream on my lips every night for the past five years and never have a problem with dry lips anymore. My lips are also quite allergic to many other brands, and would painfully swell up for days. So, I've found I TRULY can't live without this stuff. I've travelled and forgotten to bring it, and of coarse my lips would go back to their old cracked ways. My only complaint is that this stuff is getting harder to find. Used to find it at Walgreen's and Kmart, but now I can only find it on drugstore.com.
