Use this product to keep small venous ulcers from getting larger and requiring Duke boot. Wash with No Rinse Foaming Cleanser, use hydrogen peroxide on spots (if needed on larger spot), apply thin coat of Zim's Wound Care, let dry, apply A& D + Zinc Cream to entire area. This treatment has healed several venous ulcers when started when spot is small.

This is a great product. I ordered it for my mother who is a diabetic that had some ulcers on her leg from a wound that wouldn't heal. She had them for quite a while and they would not go away. She used this and within a few days they looked better. After about 2 weeks they were nearly completely healed. When you put it on it dries to an almost sugary consistency that I assume acts like a scab. I'm going to reorder it in case she gets more wounds. It's a great product for older people and for diabetic who have wounds that refuse to heal. We tried everything and this has worked the best out of anything so far. I can't say enough good things about it.

I also didn't notice any smell whatsoever. It just didn't have a smell to me so I'm not sure what people are referring to when they mention how badly it smells. I put some on my arm to smell and it had a neutral scent. Very strange. It might be the wound itself that smells and not the product. I couldn't say, but I will say I noticed no smell at all.

I don't understand why so many other reviews went on and on about this product's smell being offensive. My tube had little to no smell at all. And before I received my order from drugstore.com, I used a tube my mother had and that one did not smell either.
This is an excellent product! It took away the pain and gave my wound added healing protection with the bandage. Just a dab goes a long way. I honestly can't think of any negative comment for this.

This stuff may work but the smell is so horrible that I don't care how good it works it went right in the trash. Its also really sticky and gooey like clear crazy glue.

If I had to describe the smell its like sour milk and rotten lemons at the same time, not a good thing! Ugh! I'm not sensitive or averse to scents either so you know it must be bad.

Okay did I already say it stinks, I understand that this is suppose to work wonders on wounds, but if you can't leave it on because it stinks so bad whats the point?

looks like airplane glue, runny at first.... turning to very thick, odd odor, after 10 minutes looks like peeling sunburn around edge of wound. Wounds sealed off completely...seemed to heal ok.

Heals cuts and gashes and burns faster than anything I have ever used. It was recommended originally to me by a wound care specialist and it absolutely works.

For nearly a year I've been plagued with leg ulcers due to CVI -- chronic venous insufficiency. Recently I've found if I can start working on them BEFORE they really open up, sometimes I can stop the progress of the wound. And this collagen gel is working very well indeed, as long as the wound is very small -- say, the tip of my little finger or smaller, just getting started. Application of a dab of gel to the little hole, a non-stick pad taped over it (it is sticky and you don't want it on your clothes or bed), and change it maybe one more time each day. I haven't had a full-blown leg ulcer since I started using the gel.

I bought this product to use on my face for these horrid sores that I get from sebaceous cysts! Gee whiz I had no idea that it was going to smell like toe jam! I put it on my face last night, and my little chi hua hua wouldn't stop sniffing my face. She probably thought it was another dogs behind or something.

After trying to snuggle with my husband in bed he politely said "I've got to turn over, and lay on my other side". AHUH yeah nice stinky stuff, but it really does work! I put it on the wound, and I feel it working.

Can't you do something about the smell? If not at least change the color so it doesn't also look disgusting.
