Right now I have a mug that I devoted to wax, I pop that into a pot of water on low/moderate heat (3 1/2 - 4 on my electric stove). I have waxed every stray hair off my body easily, quickly, and fairly painlessly. My armpits, legs, and entire bikini area are completely smooth. The first time I used it on the very sensitive areas, I' not gonna lie, it hurt quite a bit. Not enough to stop, but enough to be like "Whoa!". But when I did it the second time it was just zzziiiipppp! and it was gone, no pain! I was so thrilled with my results that I plopped my husband down and took care of his excess hair. His funny little ear hair-gone. Weird eyebrow hairs-gone. Hairs I didn't like in HIS sensitive areas-gone. He was shocked at how easy it was, he kept saying "I can't believe it doesn't hurt that bad." And I was able to do both of us with just 2 boxes, and since I re-melt the stuff that isn't too hairy, I still have a ton left for maintenance--but I bought two more to have on hand. I can't say enough about this fabulous product. I do wish that they carried the tube wax, since it would be easier to do eyebrows and other small areas without so much mess, but oh well. I had never had a bikini wax, but I wanted to try it before going to a professional just because I have ultra sensitive skin. Anyway, I tried this and it worked really well. Of course, it was painful (it might just be because I'm a beginner) but it got the job done and I think most people would be able to handle the pain if you got smooth results. REVIEWS Reviewed by 206 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » Comments about Zip Wax Hot Wax Hair Remover, 3 oz: The manufacturer had some sort of issue with the wax formula which they have now corrected. Drugstore.com will be getting the original formula wax within the next couple of weeks. The box will have the wording "original formula" on it so you can see that you have the right product. After I contacted the manufacturer, they shipped me some of the newly labeled "original formula" wax and it is back to the way it was before!! So thought I'd pass this info on. Pros

Comments about Zip Wax Hot Wax Hair Remover, 3 oz: I started buying Zipwax because the wax had a greater quality than other waxes. Unfortunately, for the past 3 orders, the quality of the wax has not been good at all: it melts in chunks or does not melt at all, and it does not pull the hair efficiently as it used to. Don't know why the wax quality has declined, maybe it has something to do with the bees' ability to produce the wax...But I won't buy it again.

Comments about Zip Wax Hot Wax Hair Remover, 3 oz: I contacted Lee Pharmaceuticals and they said I got a defective batch. They sent me a replacement that melts normally and works fine. Drugstore.com might want to contact them also to get replacements for remaining boxes from the defective batch.

Comments about Zip Wax Hot Wax Hair Remover, 3 oz: I had purchased 2 of the bar products and thought after using the first one that it must have been a bad batch. I threw it away hoping to have that waxy appearance and only found the second bar was just as graining, milky and I definitely wasted my money. In reading several of the reviews I am now convinced that either a bad batch or the manufacturer changed the product. Would no longer recommend after the 10 years I have been using.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Zip Wax Hot Wax Hair Remover, 3 oz: Zip wax ingredient problem? Long time user of product BUT....This is not what you or I used to buy. Its now vanilla/white in color, not light brown. Melts and applies like thick sugar! Somethings wrong with this product or batch. If its vanilla/white in color DO NOT USE IT as it does nothing to remove hair. Return it! Unable to find or contact manufacturer.

Comments about Zip Wax Hot Wax Hair Remover, 3 oz: Product very good for purpose intended. Definitely cost effective than having a monthly facial. Biggest drawback...a microwavable container and applicator. Supplier either does not stock these items or they are not available.

Comments about Zip Wax Hot Wax Hair Remover, 3 oz: I have been waxing using this product for years on both my face and my bikini line with consistent, excellent results. I melt the wax over low heat for about twenty minutes in an old pot that I've reserved just for this purpose. After lightly sprinkling baby powder on the area, I spread two-inch wide strips in the direction of the hair, let it cool slightly and then pull it off fast. Perfect.
Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about Zip Wax Hot Wax Hair Remover, 3 oz: Bought this because of the good reviews and I thought it would be more effective than other DIY waxing kits. It was a disaster. The product is very messy and breaks apart in clumps when removed. I tried varying temperatures and both smaller and larger strips, but it could not pick up fine or coarse hair. also the wax is not microwaveable and must be heated stove-top, so get ready to ruin one of your saucepans.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Zip Wax Hot Wax Hair Remover, 3 oz: This product has changed for the much worse. It used to be smooth and durable, and now it's like a sandy, grainy, milky mess. It no longer works. Thought it was me but now reading the reviews I see its widespread. I literally have been using zip wax for 1 0years (at least), but now ill find another brand.. Sad. Pros

Comments about Zip Wax Hot Wax Hair Remover, 3 oz: I have used Zip Wax for 25 years and it has changed in the past six months. It is grainy and takes longer to heat up. It breaks apart and is messy when you take off. It no longer grabs all the hair. I have used this on brows, upper lip and chin. I was so dissapointed that a product I have used for years changed. I am planning to write the manufacturer and hope they go back to their old formula.
