I am generally healthy and active but my seasonal allergies have been horrible for the past two years. I gave Zyrtec a try for a year... because it worked the best on its own and I was overseas but... I was SO SLEEPY... I wasn't sure that it was the Zyrtec until I finally stopped taking it and tried a combination of other things. It was easier on Zyrtec..one pill a day...but the drowsiness was too much for me! I recommend if nothing else is working for you but be aware that you may become quite drowsy. I was able to drive, but I had a general sleepiness all day regardless if I took in the morning or evening.

This is the first allegry medicine of its kind that I have tried. I am happy with its effectiveness, but it does make me drowsy. I take it in the evening before bed and sleep WONDERFULLY. The flip side of that is I do have a tough time waking up and getting moving in the morning.

ZyrtecThe Good Things I like about it clears your allergies during Morning it does pretty good for my allergies but the Worst things are at night to me i don't think this Zyrtec isn't even at 24 hours at all to me i think its less 24 hours because it too me it doesn't work very good indoors at all on your allergies for me. Like Here like everyday i get up in morning i take the pill about 8-9 am when i first up since my allergies act up really bad and the worst thing i hate when it takes awhile to Kick in the Zyrtec medicine its takes awhile plus after you do that for awhile like you have running nouse then you sneeze few times maybe 4-6 times in a row maybe more then its in your body then you can smell about after awhile until afternoon close to the Sunset to dark then after that your allergies act ups things i hate believe that Zyrtec has No Relieves at all to Allergies During Night time because like if i go to bed after i do all my chores i do get in showers sometimes help just least 2-3% to get rid of the pollen but you get all stuff up even if your in the shower after your done or not its like after few minutes during that night maybe less then 5 minutes your stuff nose up,runny noses and you have go in the bathroom and get toilet paper and then after doing that for awhile you sneeze again once already had taken the pill in the morning its like nothing at Night Time to me i think Zyrtec only works for me least 11 hrs-12 hrs not 24 hr for me since i am allergic to Pollen (like air,weeds,grass) i probably give you a 2.9

Great price! Thank you drugstore.com, for offering this at a lower price than any retail store!! We use it throughout allergy season and go through it pretty quickly. Glad to find it a little cheaper here.

I started using zyrtec when it was still a prescription drug. I had to stop taking it because it would make me extremely lightheaded. It was also not effective in relieving my allergy symptoms.

Began taking Zyrtec while it still was a prescription medication--and have continued after it became available OTC. It is most effective in dealing with allergies and has no side effects of which I am aware.

I have HBP & Glaucoma and when I took the product I got anxiety and did not feel well at all. So if you have these problems check with your Dr first before taking, it may have interacted with my medications. However, it did help the allergy syptoms.

I got allergy shots for years and years at great expense and time to no avail really. And I cannot give up my kitties!
Going through every single anti-histimine on the market, both prescribed and no prescription required, I have found that Zyrtec is the one which helps with both indoor (kitties and nasty mites) and outdoor allergies such as trees and grasses. I have been taking Zyrtec now for years with absolutely no side effects.
I do need extra reinforcements for my itchy eyes, but that is easily remedied with Visine Multi-Symptom which is as good as my steroid drops and about $100 cheaper!
So I say go for Zyrtec as your first choice to see if it works for most of your allergy symptoms as well as it has for me for years!
